Technical, progressive, consistently surprising, and surprisingly consistent, this Japanese-American surf prodigy grew up in Huntington Beach, California and has lived up to every bit of hype. It’s nearly impossible to find a flaw in his game. He’s won a few major QS and CT events so far in his career, earned Olympic medals twice, and been in a Pipeline Masters final. The future has a lot in store for Kanoa, but Kanoa has even more in store for the future.
